The National Agricultural Science Data Center cordially invites you to submit paper data
• Scientific data is an important foundational and strategic scientific resource for national scientific and technological innovation and national socio-economic development. In order to better realize the value of scientific data and enhance the influence of papers and authors, you are specifically invited to submit the data of your paper to the National Agricultural Science Data Center at the time of publication. Submitting paper data to the National Agricultural Science Data Center will generate the following four major advantages.
  
  1. The center issues data certificates to clarify data ownership.
  The National Agricultural Science Data Center is one of the 20 national scientific data centers designated in June 2019 by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Finance (National Development Foundation [2019] No. 194). The National Science and Technology Basic Conditions Platform Center led the construction of the CSTR identification system based on the national standard "GB/T 32843-2016 Technology Resource Identification," and the National Agricultural Science Data Center is the first batch of CSTR identification registration institutions. All datasets submitted to the National Agricultural Science Data Center are assigned a unique CSTR identification to clarify data ownership and protect the rights of data providers, providing a foundational support for the secure, controllable, orderly management, and evidence-based use of scientific data resources.
  
  2. The center provides long-term preservation services to ensure data security.
  In recent years, incidents of paper retractions due to "loss of original data, inability to replicate work" have been frequent. Only publishing papers without making research data public may lead to the inability to reproduce scientific research results, not only lowering the credibility of papers but also potentially leading to academic misconduct and other behaviors. Research teams typically focus on research results, and the preservation of scientific data poses many difficulties, such as inconvenient storage due to large data volumes, and the loss of scientific data with the departure, retirement, or graduation of researchers, among others. The center has a professionally managed server cluster and good information security facilities, having built a powerful hardware environment to support the long-term preservation of scientific data, including a PB-level big data parallel computing environment and a 22 trillion times high-performance computing environment. Data submitted to the center can provide long-term preservation and download services for authors or research teams.
  
  3. Collaborative publication of data papers to enhance academic influence.
  Usually, after the publication of scientific papers, the paper data is no longer used. However, data submitted to the center can be published as data papers, re-activating the value of the data. At the same time, the center assigns DOI numbers to the datasets for publishing data papers. Data papers can be published in "China Scientific Data" magazine, "China Scientific Data (Chinese and English online version)" (CN11-6035/N, ISSN 2096-2223), which is currently the only academic journal in China specializing in the publication of scientific data across multiple disciplines. It is one of the first pilot publications of national continuous network publications and is a source journal of the China Science Citation Database (CSCD). The National Agricultural Science Data Center has established a long-term cooperative alliance with "China Scientific Data" magazine and has specifically set up a sub-column for agricultural science data. Collaborating with the National Agricultural Science Data Center for publication will exempt data paper publication fees.

  Any user who submits data organized by our center's cooperative partners can register as a VIP user. In addition to providing VIP users with discounted data usage services based on the amount of data submitted, the center also offers other services for VIP users, such as data submission commissioner services, rapid data submission services, data paper writing guidance, and a green channel for data submission.
