Special topic solicitation: Smart Agricultural Product Supply Chain

Currently, a new generation of information technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data, artificial intelligence, robots, and blockchain are deeply integrating into the agricultural product supply chain, leading to the intelligent transformation of the agricultural product supply chain (from the field to the table). At the same time, global climate change, the global COVID-19 pandemic, and international trade conditions have brought many challenges to the agricultural product supply chain, which urgently needs to be empowered by information technology. The development of a smart agricultural product supply chain plays an important role in improving the efficiency of agricultural product circulation, reducing losses in agricultural product circulation, and ensuring the quality and safety of agricultural products.
To further promote innovation in the smart agricultural product supply chain, our journal is planning to launch a special issue on "Smart Agricultural Product Supply Chain" to explore and exchange the latest achievements in basic theoretical innovation, key technology research and development, major product creation, and application model exploration in this field. The special issue is scheduled to be published in the first issue of 2023. We especially invite Dr. Yang Xinting, the director of the Key Laboratory of Agricultural Product Cold Chain Logistics Technology of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the executive deputy director of the National Engineering Research Center for Agricultural Product Quality and Safety Traceability Technology and Application, and the deputy director of the National Agricultural Informatization Engineering Technology Research Center, to serve as the guest editor. We welcome experts, scholars, and researchers in related fields from both domestic and international backgrounds to actively submit contributions.
Scope of Contributions
Including but not limited to:
1. Research on agricultural product information perception technology throughout the supply chain.
2. Research on intelligent quality preservation and transportation technology for agricultural products throughout the supply chain.
3. Research on process optimization and collaborative decision-making technology throughout the supply chain.
4. Exploration of new technologies and models such as low-carbon smart supply chains and intelligent flexible supply chains.
Submission Requirements
1. Original research papers that have not been published, in either Chinese or English, within the scope of this special issue, with clear viewpoints, comprehensive materials, correct data, reasonable arguments, and standardized formatting.
2. Concise writing, substantial content, including titles in both Chinese and English, author information, abstract, keywords, funding information, main text, references, and editable figures and tables, with a minimum of 7,000 words, submitted as a Word document.

Guest Editor: Dr. Yang Xinting
Dr. Yang Xinting is a researcher and currently serves as the deputy director of the Information Technology Research Center of the Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences, the director of the Key Laboratory of Agricultural Product Cold Chain Logistics Technology of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the deputy director of the National Agricultural Informatization Engineering Technology Research Center, and the executive deputy director of the National Engineering Research Center for Agricultural Product Quality and Safety Traceability Technology and Application. He has received various honors and awards, including the Beijing Strategic Scientific and Technological Talent (2019), Young Beijing Scholar (2020), Ministry of Science and Technology's Leading Talents in Science and Technology Innovation for Young and Middle-aged People (2016), and the National "Ten Thousand Talents Program" Leading Talents in Science and Technology Innovation (2018). His main research focuses on the application of technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data, artificial intelligence, and blockchain in the agricultural product supply chain. He has led 21 national key research and development projects and provincial and ministerial-level scientific research projects and has published over 70 SCI/EI-indexed papers in domestic and international journals as the first or corresponding author, including "Trends in Food Science & Technology," "Comprehensive Reviews in Food Science and Food Safety," "Food Chemistry," and "Food Control." His technical achievements have received the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2015 (ranked second) and the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2019 (ranked second).
