Special topic solicitation: Machine Vision and Intelligent Perception in Agriculture
-
Machine vision-based intelligent perception technology in agriculture has become a key technology for the development of agricultural robots. As an external sensor, various optical cameras are the primary source of information for agricultural robots, offering advantages such as non-contact measurement, long-term stable operation, high perception efficiency, and complete information acquisition. The widespread application of machine vision technology and intelligent perception technology in the agricultural field will accelerate the transformation of China's agricultural production methods, promote industrial structure upgrading, and hold significant importance in enhancing the modernization and sustainable development of agriculture.
To further report on the latest research progress in agricultural intelligent perception technology, our journal is planning to launch a special issue on "Machine Vision and Intelligent Perception in Agriculture." The aim is to explore and exchange the latest achievements in basic theoretical innovation, key technological equipment research and development, and application model exploration in this field. The special issue is scheduled to be published in the second issue of 2023. We especially invite Dr. Chai Xiujuan, the chief of the Machine Vision and Agricultural Robotics Innovation Team at the Institute of Agricultural Information, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, to serve as the guest editor. We welcome experts, scholars, and researchers in related research fields to actively submit contributions.
Scope of Contributions
Including but not limited to: diagnosis and early warning of crop pests and diseases, monitoring and yield estimation of crop growth, identification and grading of agricultural products, non-destructive testing technology and equipment for agricultural product quality, and intelligent perception and autonomous navigation in agricultural robot operating environments.
